Care label for hand embroidered child's coat made out of tweed?
A wool tweed coat with polyester lining and handembroidery on the lining. Also has leather patches on the elbows. This is the garment i have made for my AS textiles. anyone knows what would the care label be for this sort of garment? it has to be dry cleaned because of the embroidery, right..what else? anything that cannot be used on this coat? or any care instructions ?? thank youu
How do I clean a tweed amp?
I have a Peavey Classic 50 with Tweed opposed to tolex. The amp has been gigged on a ton. It's been in too many smokey bars and in the bed of my truck too many times. Naturally, the tweed has started to look dingy. Any suggestions on how to clean? Tools, certain cleaning products? I'm looking to resell the amp so I'd like to make it appear cleaner if possible. How do i clean beige tweed chairs that go with oak table?
The chairs look awful...i paid more than i should have for this set i got from someone on craigslist. But they delivered it to me, so i felt i couldnt complain. wishi had a picture i could show. The chairs are really not badly worn, but are very very dirty looking. I have no clue how to clean these chairs. i paid 100 for the set and the table is solid oak and very heavy. i dont really think the chairs originally went with this table, but oh well. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME EASY EASY IDEAS ABOUT HOW TO MAKE THE CHAIRS LOOK BRIGHTER AND CLEANER. thanks for your help.The chairs are rolling chairs with wooden arms, but the seat and back are like a tweed fabric. I was thinking about using something like oxyclean? No, the material does not come off. That would be nice. I like the idea of using the vinegar cause that helps with bad odors. i even thought of getting the auto upholstery cleaner that sprays on like a foam. I know it works good on car upholstery. The oak table is looking better already with just a couple doses of Old English, love that stuff. May end up having to do more to it.

Can I wash tweed clothes in a normal home washing mashine?
I have a lovely tweed waistcoat and use it very often. I have pnly now discovered that it should be only dry cleaned. It doesn't make eceonomical sense to dry clean it every month Can I wash it in a normal washin mashine at home? If yes, what programme should I be using? Any help would be grately appreciated
How do you get ink stains out of a couch made out of tweed-like material?
I was doing some writing and I accidentally dropped my pen and it left an ink stain. The stain is pretty set in. So far we have tried Resolve Carpet Cleaner and it didn't do anything. Is there anything else that I can do? Home remedies would be great. I would like answers other than calling carpet cleaners.
There is a hole in the arm of a tweed jacket, can it be repaired? How?
