Arboriculture is about growing trees. How you do it, and what conditions they need depend completely on the KIND of tree you want to grow. There are trees that need tropical climates, one that need temperate climates, with several months of cold weather to be happy. Most like full sun. A few prefer light shade. Many like well-drained, fertile soil, a few tolerate and prefer damp or boggy places. Narrow down what you'll be growing - or WHY you're growing, and we might be able to help more. Also say where you want to do this.

I would grow several rotations of trees pioneer species first like Acacia then go to the valuable hardwoods like ebony and teak, Kauri Pines are the best bet though they grow fast and can be planted dense and probably easy to procure. Check out your Gov. websites for Laws regulating these and other ventures however I do not know. Many tropical timber species are in great demand now and if your trying to restore fallow ground the more power to you, hope you make some money, trees are a good long term investment that you can cash in later for yourself and/ or your family.
