Timber And Wood In Timber

Question: I need to pullout some timber from a planter. any ideas on how to get it out without tearing up the planter?

I'm doing some landscaping for my uncle, and the previous owner of the house had put timber around two birds of paradise. i'm guessing they did it to terrace the planter. the problem it that the birds of paradise were pushing the brick out on the planter wall. so i've dug them out but now i need to get the wood out. i don't want to tear up the planter getting it out and i'd like to not leave big parts behind. any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean by "tear up the planter ". If there's wood there you need to get out, then you do what it takes to remove it. If you can do that by digging, and pulling the wood out, great. if not, you may have to dismantle something, and then put it back together. No one here can really help when we're not looking at what you're looking at. So we can't tell you how to get "wood " out of something when it's unclear how it all fits together. Just try your best, and know that it might take a bit of dismantling to do the job properly.
